ABOUT

The NOUN International Journal of Private and Property Law (NIJPPL) is a departmental academic journal published under the Faculty of Law, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). It serves as a dedicated scholarly platform for advancing research, critical analysis and academic discourse in the broad fields of Private and Property Law, while also welcoming interdisciplinary contributions that engage related areas of legal study.

NIJPPL is committed to promoting high-quality legal scholarship that addresses contemporary legal issues at both national and international levels. The journal provides an intellectual space for academics, legal practitioners, researchers and postgraduate students to contribute to the development of legal theory, doctrine, and practice, particularly within Nigeria’s evolving legal system.

Scope and focus

The Journal welcomes original, well-researched articles in any area or related subjects for publishing considerations. Submissions that engage related legal disciplines or adopt comparative, socio-legal, or policy-oriented approaches are also encouraged, provided they contribute meaningfully to legal scholarship.
