EDITORIAL NOTE

On behalf of the Editorial Board and Committee of NOUN International Journal of Private and Property Law (NIJPPL), I present, with immense pleasure, our 3rd volume of the journal.

In keeping with our tradition of distinction, this issue of NIJPPL contains a diverse selection of outstanding articles on issues of relevance in the current dispensation. The journal covers articles on gender equality, good governance and anti-corruption; public health and criminal justice as approaches for combatting the pandemic of tobacco and illicit drug use, as well as an extensive analysis of the potential of the Arbitration and Mediation Bill for transforming the Nigerian alternative dispute resolution landscape. Other articles in this issue relate to human rights implications of compulsory COVID-19 vaccination; indigenous sui generis governance framework for adequate protection of intellectual property rights in indigenous cultural expressions; and the extent to which post-trial court martial proceedings offend the principle against double jeopardy guaranteed by the Nigerian Constitution.

We trust that you will find the articles in this edition intellectually stimulating with practical answers to the legal issues they seek to resolve.
